ValleyTori provides online educational content focused on robotics, engineering, programming, and related STEM topics. Our goal is to help students learn safely, and responsibly.
Right now, ValleyTori is primarily digital/online. If we offer physical kit+course bundles, we may publish additional product terms at that time.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ValleyTori website, online courses, certifications, community features, software/apps, and any physical kits or products we sell (collectively, the “Services”). This includes online platform community/discussion areas, reviews, and related community interaction services. By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, enrolling in a course, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use our services.

We are a small California based online learning platform, and we do need legal protection, and to outline what we provide in user protections.
Please understand how minors should treat their accounts, and security responsibilities.
You must be the age of legal consent/contract in your jurisdiction to purchase paid services, and provide personal information.
If you are under the age of legal consent/contract where you live, you may use the Services only with parent/guardian consent and supervision. For accounts used by minors, the parent/guardian should provide the account information and remain responsible for the account and the minor's use of the Services.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- Keeping activity under your account
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised, and we will do our best to restore access. Please note that we may ask for information, and may be unable to restore access. If we are not sure if your account was compromised, we may be unable to restore access.
Please read over and understand what we provide for purchase protections.
When you purchase a paid course, access is typically provided immediately after successful payment(instant digital delivery). If anything goes wrong please contact our support over email.
Because digital content is delivered immediately and cannot be "returned" like a physical product:
We provide refunds where required by law, but-
We also may provide(not guaranteed) goodwill/discretionary refunds case by case.
We will try to keep a good reputation, so if you are not satisfied and our support cannot satisfy your needs, we may issue a refund for a poor experience. Please note that this is not legally guaranteed.
IMPORTANT: Discretionary refunds are not guaranteed, and we may decline requests in certain situations(see Section 3.5).
If you are a EEA(European Economic Area)/UK consumer, you may have a statutory "cooling-off"/withdrawal right for certain purchases. However, when you request immediate access to digital content, the law allows that right to be lost/waived once delivery begins, if you provide required consent and acknowledgment.
Where applicable, we will ask you at checkout to confirm(for example via a required checkbox) that:
- You want immediate access to the digital content, and
- You acknowledge you may lose your withdrawal right once access is delivered
Our support is always there, but please remember your EEA/UK is waived.
At checkout, you may be asked to accept these Terms and (where applicable) confirm immediate digital delivery and related withdrawal-right acknowledgements. These confirmations help keep pricing fair and protect the platform from abuse.
Our platform supports respectful disagreement and questions, and you can always contact support. However in ultra extreme situations - such as credible threats, severe harassment, or extreme piracy/account abuse, we may restrict or terminate access and may decline refunds to the extent permitted by law(for example many fake accounts repeatedly requesting paid content and refunds). If you believe you are mistakenly targeted, please contact support.
We want ValleyTori to be safe, helpful, and welcoming. Especially because many users are students.
If you post or upload content (discussion posts, comments, reviews, etc.), you are responsible for it. Do not post anything unlawful, dangerous, harassing, or that violates others' rights.
We may moderate community areas. Our default approach is to protect learning access while stopping harmful behavior. That means we may:
Remove content
Lock threads
Mute or restrict accounts from posing/commenting/reviewing and/or-
Limit community features
In most cases, restricted users can still view purchased course content.
In rare, extreme cases - such as credible threats, repeated severe harassment, or extreme piracy/account sharing - we may revoke access to Services entirely.
This is a last resort only.
If you believe a moderation decision was a mistake, contact us immediately at
[email protected].
You agree not to:
- Share or resell course access, extensively share logins, or upload our paid content elsewhere
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Services without permission
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, security controls, or account restrictions
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or target others
- Upload malware or disrupt the Services
- Violate laws or third-party rights
All course materials and Services content (videos, text, diagrams, lesson structure, branding, logos, and related materials) are owned by ValleyTori or our licensors and are protected by IP laws.
You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access purchased content for personal educational use. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or publicly share paid materials without written permission.
ValleyTori teaches hands-on topics that may involve tools, electronics, batteries, sharp parts, heat, soldering, drones/RC devices, and other potentially hazardous activities.
Our content is for educational purposes. You are responsible whether and how to apply what you learn.
You agree to:
- Use appropriate safety gear and procedures
- Follow manufacturer instructions and local laws
- Use adult/professional supervision when needed, and
- Stop if something seems unsafe
PLEASE TAKE CAUTION AROUND ELECTRICITY, BATTERIES, HOT PARTS(like soldering irons), AND DO NOT LEAVE HAZARDOUS ACTIVITIES UNATTENDED
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ValleyTori is not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses arising from how you build, use, test, or apply projects based on our educational content.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, or any particular learning outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- ValleyTori will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- ValleyTori's total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to ValleyTori for the Services giving rise to the claim in 12 months before the event, or $100 USD, whichever is greater
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, the limitation applies to the fullest extent allowed
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ValleyTori from claims and expenses arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or laws.
These Terms are governed by laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a EEA/UK consumer, nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated: " date shows the latest revision. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
